Graham:

I think the thing that gets lost in all the talk about speed and scale is the question of why. Why are we building this? Who is it actually for?

Alex:

Right. And I think that question used to be easier to answer when you were building something physical. You could hold it. You could see the person using it.

Graham:

There's a craft element that disappears when everything is abstracted. You lose the texture.

Alex:

Exactly. And I think intention is the thing that brings that texture back. Even in digital work, you can feel when someone cared.
